Introduction to mass spectrometry / J. Throck Watson
Titre : Introduction to mass spectrometry : instrumentation, applications, and strategies for data interpretation Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : J. Throck Watson (1939-), Auteur ; Orrin David Sparkman (1942-....), Auteur Mention d'édition : 4th edition Editeur : Hoboken (N.J.) : J. Wiley & sons Année de publication : cop. 2007 Importance : 1 vol. (XXIV-818 p.) Présentation : ill Format : 25 *22cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-0-470-51634-8 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Introduction to mass spectrometry chromatography calibration ion detectors vacuum systems iniet electron ionization electrospray ionization maldiproteins and other biopolymersoligonucleotides carbihydrates Index. décimale : 543 Chimie Physique Résumé : ompletely revised and updated, this text provides an easy–to–read guide to the concept of mass spectrometry and demonstrates its potential and limitations. Written by internationally recognised experts and utilising "real life" examples of analyses and applications, the book presents real cases of qualitative and quantitative applications of mass spectrometry. Unlike other mass spectrometry texts, this comprehensive reference provides systematic descriptions of the various types of mass analysers and ionisation, along with corresponding strategies for interpretation of data. The book concludes with a comprehensive 3000 references.
This multi–disciplined text covers the fundamentals as well as recent advance in this topic, providing need–to–know information for researchers in many disciplines including pharmaceutical, environmental and biomedical analysis who are utilizing mass spectrometry.history-some importeant terminology used in mass spectrometry-the need for chromatography-closing remarks-monographs-monographs on mass spectrometry published before1970-the mass spectrometer-calibration of the m/z scale-ion detectors-vacuum systems-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry-inlet systems-strategies for data interpretation(other than fragmentation)electron ionization-representative fragmentation pathways-representative fragmentations(spectraa)of classes of compounds-library searches and el mass spectral databases-chemical ioization-electrospray ionization-maldi-gaz chromatography/mass spectrometry-liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry-analysis of proteins and other biopolymersNote de contenu : Éditeur : Wiley–Blackwell; 4th Edition (5 octobre 2007)

Intended both for designers and downstream users, the book begins with a detailed explanation of the physical principles involved when a satellite acquires an optical image and then goes on to discuss image processing and its limits as well as the ultimate performance obtained. It also covers in depth the problems to be solved when designing and dimensioning observation systems so that the reader can become familiar with the various processes implemented for acquiring an optical image.
The book describes a very wide range of subjects from fundamental physics (radiation, electronics, optics) to applied mathematics (frequency analysis), geometry and technological issues. It draws on work done over many years by engineers from CNES (the French Space Agency), the IGN (the French National Geographic Institute) and ONERA (the French Aerospace Laboratory) in the field of satellite optical imagery. sommaire:some history-what is remote sensing?some examples of earth observation applications-a panorama of several earth obsevation missions-scope of this book-image geometry-radiometry-image resolutionNote de contenu : Notes bibliogr-annexe Satellite imagery : from acquisition principles to processing of optical images for observing the Earth...
