Ils ont une influence certaine sur l'image que les dirigeants du pays, homme politique ou souveraine, ont dans l'opinion publique. Comment font-ils passer leurs idées et comment transmettent-ils leur message ? Pourquoi le public leur accorde-t-il tant de crédit ? Après avoir tenté de répondre à ces questions, le présent opuscule s'est attaché à présenter quelques instantanés de la société britannique. Car si les journaux sont si populaires c'est qu'ils parlent à leur Public avec son langage, qu'ils véhiculent ses valeurs sociales, qu'ils jouent avec ses préjugés. à travers l'étude des journaux on pourra donc dresser un portrait contemporain de la société britannique et de ses mutations. En effet, le journal doit s'adapter pour survivre, et on peut être certain que si le Public change, ses journaux changeront.
